Tripura News: Girl of ‘certificates’ gets appreciation from India Book of Records

Trapa Choudhury – an 8-year old Tripura born and brought up girl – has been appreciated by ‘India Book of Records’.

She got the appreciation for achieving 145 certificates for participating in state, national and international level competitions online and offline for Drawing and Painting, Handwriting, Craft Making, Abacus, Chess, Dancing, Story and Poem Writing, Fashion Show, Olympiad, Singing and Recitation in different languages. She earned the all these certificates between 2017 and 2021 at the age of 8 years and 4 months as confirmed on June 26, 2021.

India Book of Records is affiliated to Asia Book of Records and follows Asian Protocol of Records (APRs) as per the consensus arrived at the meeting of the Chief Editors of National Record Books, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The little girl, Trapa is truly a multi-lingual and multi-cultural girl. The influence of her familiarity with different languages and cultures is profoundly reflected in her different arts and cultural creation. Trapa can speak, read and write in Bengali, Hindi, English, Assamese and Sanskrit.

Trapa studied her nursery level in Tripura. She also learnt Drawing (Prasun Dutta, Chittram), Dance (Dipa Dey, Sriniketan), Singing (Sujata Debnath, Patmanjari Sangeet Kalakendra) and Recitation (Smita Bhattacharjje, Shruti) in the State. At present, she is studying at Maharishi Vidya Mandir (Class-3), Guwahati, Assam.

She is also conferred the ‘Global Child Peace Ambassador’ by Global Peace Let’s Talk (a London, UK based International NGO) to spread Peace among the Children across the Globe and were selected to participate online Global Kids Peace Builder Workshop conducted by Global Peace Institute, London. 

She was recently awarded as ‘Child Ambassador of SDG’ by Vasundhara Blessing Foundation, Noida, UP.

Trapa’s mother Dr. Manoshi Das is notable Anthropologist and father Dr. Jayanta Choudhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Rural Studies, Tripura University, presently working as Associate Professor, NIRDPR-NERC, Guwahati, Assam.
