The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) achieved a Guinness World Record with a 221-meter-long flower wall at its 11th annual flower show, surpassing the previous record of 166.15 meters. The event, which began on December 30, 2023, attracted approximately 760,000 visitors by January 9, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unplanned visit to the show, leading to some ticket holders being unable to enter due to security measures. The AMC assured that these tickets would remain valid for the entire day on Thursday.
The longest flower structure is 221 m (725.06 ft) and was achieved by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (India) during the 11th Ahmedabad Flower Show, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India on 10 January 2024.

The upcoming Ahmedabad Flower Show 2025 is scheduled from January 1 to January 20, 2025, at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre, behind Tagore Hall. The show will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year’s event is set to showcase over 1.5 million plants and 30 varieties of exotic flowers, including petunias, chrysanthemums, orchids, and succulents. Highlights include floral sculptures of landmarks such as the Statue of Unity, the Kirti Toran of Vadnagar, and the new Parliament building, as well as representations of cultural icons and cartoon characters.
Children below 12 years and school groups are eligible for free entry. Tickets can be purchased at AMC Zonal Offices, Civic Centres, and designated ticket windows at the event venue.
