Abu Dhabi To Ring In 2025 With The World’s Largest Fireworks Display

Witness the world’s largest fireworks display in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve, featuring a 50-minute show, and record-breaking celebrations.

Abu Dhabi is all set to host the world’s largest fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. The spectacle will last approximately 50 minutes at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba. The celebrations will also feature a 6,000-drone show, creating aerial art for over 20 minutes. With this impressive display, Abu Dhabi aims to break six Guinness World Records. In 2023, the same festival witnessed a 40-minute fireworks display, setting three Guinness World Records for time, formation, and quantity. Additionally, the festival set another record with more than 5,000 drones creating the world’s largest aerial logo.

The 2024 Sheikh Zayed Festival will witness the fireworks going off every hour, starting from 6 pm on December 31, slowly building towards the record-bid midnight finale. Displays will illuminate the night sky at several iconic locations.

Other attractions of the festival include laser shows, cultural performances, concerts, games for children, and other family-friendly activities. The Sheikh Zayed Festival is a celebration of Emirati culture and heritage, which goes on for several months. This year the festival in Abu Dhabi started on November 1, 2024 and will end on February 28, 2025.

In addition, Yas Island will host its world-renowned fireworks show, which is best viewed from Manar at Samaliyah Island, Yas Bay Waterfront, Yas Marina, and Yas Beach. There will be two fireworks shows at Yas Island, one at 9 pm and one at midnight. The Abu Dhabi Corniche will also set up a fireworks display, which can be enjoyed from several spots, including Corniche Beach, Lulu Island, and the MOTN Festival.

Continuing Abu Dhabi’s tryst with fireworks, there are plenty of other places here to catch stunning displays, such as the Public Park in Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, and Al Mughira Beach in Al Marfa, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, Liwa Festival, Madinat Zayed Public Park, Ghayathi, and Al Mughira Beach in Al Marfa.
