Luxury car auction house Broad Arrow Auctions set multiple world records on the opening day of the prestigious Amelia Concours d’Elegance auction, with a lineup of rare “unobtanium” supercars attracting intense bidding from collectors around the globe.
The auction, held on Amelia Island, Florida, saw several highly sought-after vehicles achieve record-breaking prices. Among the standout sales were ultra-rare supercars and limited-production hypercars that are almost impossible to find on the market.
Collectors competed fiercely for iconic machines such as the legendary Ferrari LaFerrari and other exotic models from elite manufacturers. Many of these vehicles are often referred to as “unobtanium” in the automotive world due to their extreme rarity and desirability.
Auction officials said the strong results reflect the continuing strength of the collector-car market, particularly for modern supercars with limited production numbers and historical significance.
Experts attending the event noted that record prices are increasingly common at major automotive auctions, as wealthy enthusiasts seek out rare vehicles that combine performance, exclusivity, and investment value.
