Three British Soldiers Break World Record for Most Countries Crossed on Foot in a Week

Three British soldiers have officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most countries crossed on foot in seven days, completing an extraordinary journey across six European nations.

Sgt Damian Isaac (39), Sgt Simon Wright (39), and Sgt Kelson St Rose (47) – all based at the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester – began their feat on 24 September in Bosnia and Herzegovina and concluded in Slovakia on 1 October.

Their route saw them walk through Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria along the way. According to the team, the trek was a personal and physical challenge fueled by their passion for travel and adventure.

“We’re keen travellers and always up for pushing our limits,” said Sgt Isaac. “This challenge was not just about setting a record, but also about testing our endurance and teamwork.”

The attempt is now officially recognised by Guinness World Records, adding a prestigious milestone to the soldiers’ already distinguished careers. Their achievement is being celebrated within the armed forces community and beyond.
