In a remarkable feat to support the mission of “Save River and Save Water,” Shailesh Sheshrao Kulkarni, a dedicated bike rider from Parbhani, Maharashtra, completed a solo Parikrama (circumambulation) around the holy Narmada River. Riding his Royal Enfield Classic 350, he covered an impressive distance of 3,029 kilometers in just 5 days and 14 hours.
Kulkarni began his spiritual and environmental journey on February 2, 2020, from Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, and returned to the same sacred spot on February 7, 2020, successfully completing the circular Parikrama of the Narmada River. The expedition, which is traditionally done on foot, was uniquely undertaken on a motorcycle by Kulkarni, setting a new world record.
This achievement highlights his commitment to raising awareness about the importance of preserving rivers and conserving water resources. The record was officially recognized and confirmed by World Records India.
Kulkarni’s ride inspires environmental enthusiasts and adventure lovers alike to take active steps toward protecting nature while embracing the spirit of adventure.
