In a remarkable feat to spread awareness about road safety, Swayam Mishra from Gonda District and Atul Kumar Mishra of Prayagraj District, Uttar Pradesh, successfully completed a challenging East-West cycling expedition across India. The duo covered an impressive distance of 3,911 kilometers in just 16 days and 22 hours.
The expedition commenced from the easternmost point of India at Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh, on August 20, 2018, at 4:00 pm. They cycled relentlessly across diverse terrains and climatic conditions, finally concluding their journey at Koteshwar, Gujarat, on the western edge of the country, on September 6, 2018, at 2:00 pm.
This extraordinary achievement set a new world record and was organized by the Shubham Soti Foundation, with support from Naksh Foundation and Defence Career Academy. The mission behind this ride was to raise public awareness about the importance of road safety and responsible cycling.
Their journey stands as an inspiring example of endurance and commitment, urging citizens to adopt safer practices on roads nationwide.
