In an extraordinary effort to promote health awareness and highlight the importance of early diagnosis, Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, renowned orthopaedic surgeon and Managing Director of Aakash Healthcare Private Limited, Dwarka, New Delhi, led a record-breaking initiative on the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day.
The event marked the largest Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screening conducted in a single day, with a total of 3,076 participants undergoing screenings using Heel Ultrasound BMD machines. The screening took place across 20+ venues throughout Delhi, making it a landmark public health outreach program aimed at educating citizens on bone health and early detection of osteoporosis.
This massive health campaign was not only a tribute to Dr. Chaudhry’s commitment to preventive healthcare but also set a New World Record, reinforcing India’s growing role in large-scale community health interventions.
The initiative served as a reminder of the critical need for routine screenings, especially in aging populations, and stands as a shining example of community-driven, doctor-led public health activism.
