“Shri Vinod D’Souza’s Patriotic Letter Campaign Sets Record to Bring Back India’s Lost Treasures”

Shri Vinod Roshan D’Souza, a dedicated social activist from Bandra, Mumbai, has achieved a New World Record for his unwavering patriotic effort to reclaim India’s stolen heritage. Beginning on 23rd February 2009, he embarked on a one-man mission by regularly writing physical letters to the Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Government, appealing for the return of iconic Indian treasures.

Among the cultural and historical artifacts he has petitioned for are the Kohinoor Diamond, Jagadamba Sword, Tiger Claws of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and the Golden Throne of Maharaja Ranjit Singhji.

Over the course of 10 years, until 2019, Shri D’Souza consistently sent the maximum number of letters demanding restitution of these precious items to India. His sustained effort, commitment to cultural justice, and use of diplomatic outreach through written correspondence have earned him a place in the record books.
