On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2018, the District Magistrate of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, organized a massive Yoga Session that brought together people of all ages, castes, and communities. Under the leadership of Shri C.P. Tripathi (IAS), Divisional Commissioner of Saharanpur Division, and Shri Alok Kumar Pandey (IAS), District Magistrate of Saharanpur, the event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 11,000 individuals.
The participants also signed their names on ten large banners measuring 10 feet by 8 feet each, symbolizing their commitment to better health and wellness through yoga. This grand event was held on 21st June 2018 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium in Saharanpur and successfully set a new world record.
The initiative highlighted the spirit of unity and the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being across diverse communities in the region.
