The Bhai Kanhaiya Manav Sewa Trust, also known as Bhai Kanhaiya Ashram, has garnered national admiration for its extraordinary humanitarian service, earning the prestigious Padma Shri Award.
Founded by Gurvinder Singh (popularly known as Gurmeet Singh) of Sirsa, Haryana, this selfless initiative has transformed lives by providing free ambulance services to over 6,000 accident victims and pregnant women across the region.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Gurmeet Singh, despite being wheelchair-bound himself, has never allowed his physical challenges to stand in the way of his mission to help others.
“Our aim is to ensure that no one is left without help in an emergency,” Gurmeet Singh said. “Every life matters, and our trust is committed to serving those in need, especially when time is critical.”
The trust’s fleet of ambulances operates round the clock, offering a lifeline to people who might otherwise lack access to urgent medical care. Beyond the free ambulance service, the trust also provides food, shelter, and support to the underprivileged.
Gurmeet Singh’s dedication and the trust’s impactful work stand as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that compassion and determination can overcome any obstacle.
