IWC Delhi Midtown Sets New World Record with “Say No to Plastic” Campaign in December 2023

In a powerful initiative to raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote environmental sustainability, DC Dr. Urvashi Mittal along with the members of IWC Delhi Midtown, District 301, organized a world record-setting program in December 2023. The campaign focused on encouraging the public to “Say No to Plastic” and emphasized the ‘R’ of the ‘RRR’ principle—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—targeting a reduction in the production and consumption of plastic bottles.

During the event, 570 water bottles were distributed to members, each uniquely encased in eco-friendly jute covers as a sustainable alternative to plastic. This impactful effort was recognized globally, earning a new world record for the largest distribution of water bottles with environment-friendly packaging at a single event.

The program underlined the urgent need to protect the environment by reducing plastic waste and inspired the community to adopt greener habits to save the planet.

This landmark event reflects IWC Delhi Midtown’s commitment to environmental activism and sets an example for organizations worldwide to take bold steps towards sustainability.
