Indian television made history with the premiere of ‘Nach Baliye’, the first-ever celebrity dance competition on Indian TV, broadcast on Star One. The show brought together ten famous television couples, combining the glamour of stardom with the grace of dance in a format never seen before in the country.
The judging panel featured a star-studded trio: legendary choreographer Saroj Khan, acclaimed filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, and model-VJ Malaika Arora Khan. Each week, the couples competed in themed dance challenges, with performances judged on creativity, synchronization, and on-screen chemistry.
The inaugural season concluded with TV stars Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar emerging as the first-ever winners, winning hearts with their effortless charm and impeccable performances.
