In response to rising LPG prices, Priyadarshan Sahasrabuddhe from Pune has introduced an innovative solution that could transform household energy use.
His invention, called Vayu, is a compact device designed to convert everyday kitchen waste into usable biogas. The system enables households to generate their own cooking fuel, reducing dependence on traditional LPG cylinders.
The device works by processing organic waste such as food scraps and converting it into biogas through a controlled decomposition process. This gas can then be used directly for cooking, offering a sustainable and cost-effective alternative for families.
With increasing concerns over fuel costs and environmental impact, “Vayu” presents a dual benefit—cutting household expenses while also reducing waste. The innovation aligns with broader efforts to promote clean energy and sustainable living in urban homes.
