“Ayush Ministry’s Campaign Sets 5 Guinness World Records, Showcasing India’s Wellness Prowess!”

The Ministry of Ayush’s “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan” has achieved a remarkable feat by securing five Guinness World Records, underscoring India’s commitment to holistic healthcare and the global prominence of Ayurveda. The campaign, supported by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), concluded its first phase on February 20, 2025, in Mumbai.

Most pledges received for a health campaign in one week: The campaign garnered 6,004,912 pledges, surpassing the minimum requirement of 14,571 and setting a new global benchmark.

Most pledges received for a health campaign in one month: A total of 13,892,976 pledges were received, exceeding the previous record of 58,284 pledges held by Cigna & CMB Life Insurance Company Limited in China.

Most pledges received for a health campaign overall: The same figure of 13,892,976 pledges surpassed the earlier record of 569,057 pledges held by Zifi FDC Limited in India.

Largest online photo album of people displaying a digital certificate: The campaign compiled 62,525 photos, breaking the previous record of 29,068 photos held by Accenture Solutions Private Limited.

Largest online video album of people saying the same sentence: A collection of 12,798 videos was amassed, surpassing the prior record of 8,992 videos held by Ghe Bharari, Rahul Kulkarni, and Neelam Edlabadkar.

The official announcement was made by Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Williams Stenning, who presented the certificates to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, during the event in Mumbai.

Launched on October 29, 2024, during the 9th Ayurveda Day, the “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan” aimed to conduct Prakriti assessments nationwide. The first phase witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 1.29 crore individuals assessed, surpassing the initial target of 1 crore. This monumental effort involved 1,81,667 volunteers, including 1,33,758 Ayurveda students, 16,155 teachers, and 31,754 physicians, reflecting the unity and diversity of participants across the country.

This extensive participation highlights India’s leadership in personalized healthcare, emphasizing Ayurveda’s vital role in preventive healthcare and lifestyle management. The data collected is expected to provide critical insights for evidence-based research, bridging Ayurveda with modern medicine and advancing India’s healthcare landscape.
