The Department of Psychology at Saurashtra University has successfully conducted and published 126 detailed surveys and articles related to the COVID-19 pandemic, spanning from April 18, 2020, to July 31, 2021. These comprehensive studies included responses from over 25,000 individuals across various age groups.
The research encompassed more than 15 critical areas impacted by the pandemic, such as education, family dynamics, psychological disorders, social media influence, addictions, online education challenges, learning disorders, social issues, domestic violence, vaccination awareness, and women’s issues, among others.
To gather this extensive data, the department employed a variety of methods including Google Forms, printed questionnaires, personal interviews, and telephonic conversations. The findings provide valuable insights into the multifaceted effects of the pandemic on society, aiding policymakers, educators, and health professionals in understanding and addressing COVID-19 related challenges effectively.
