India Unveils Its Longest Sea-View Glass Bridge at Kailasagiri

In a spectacular boost to coastal tourism, Visakhapatnam has unveiled India’s longest sea-view glass bridge at the iconic hilltop of Kailasagiri, offering an experience so surreal that many compare it to viewpoints in Bali and Thailand — except this marvel stands proudly on Indian soil.

Inaugurated on December 1, 2025, the skywalk has already become Vizag’s top attraction, drawing thousands eager to test their nerves on its transparent floor and soak in unmatched panoramas of the Bay of Bengal. Extending 55 metres from the cliff’s edge and rising nearly 1,000 feet above sea level, the bridge creates the incredible sensation of walking in mid-air.

Constructed with multiple layers of tempered laminated glass supported by reinforced steel, the structure promises both safety and adrenaline in equal measure. Visitors can look straight down through the crystal-clear panels, watching the cliffs plunge beneath them as the sea breeze sweeps across the hilltop. To ensure safety and comfort, officials have introduced controlled batch entries, allowing each visitor a calm yet thrilling experience.

Engineers behind the project emphasised that Kailasagiri’s coastal winds and humidity required next-level durability. The bridge is built to withstand heavy loads and harsh weather, making it not just a scenic marvel but a robust engineering achievement.

Kailasagiri has long been one of Vizag’s most beloved destinations, known for its ropeway rides, sprawling viewpoints, and the towering Shiva–Parvati statues. With the addition of this world-class glass bridge, the city is positioning itself as one of India’s premier viewpoint destinations, rivaling famous skywalks across Southeast Asia.
