“World’s Largest Sanitary Pad Mosaic Created in Surat to Promote Menstrual Hygiene”

In a groundbreaking initiative to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene, the Kamakhya Health Organisation created the world’s largest sanitary pad mosaic (logo), covering an area of 169.97 square metres, at VR Mall, Surat, on 1 June 2024.

The mosaic, made entirely of sanitary pads, was designed to form a powerful logo symbolizing menstrual health and dignity. This record-breaking effort was more than just a visual achievement—it served as a strong message to normalize conversations around menstruation and break the stigma often associated with it.

Following the successful record attempt, all the sanitary pads used in the mosaic were donated to various NGOs, ensuring they reached women and girls in need. The initiative combined awareness, community impact, and sustainability, making it a significant step forward in the movement for menstrual health rights in India.
