World Record in Dombivli: 2.5 Lakh Coloured Diyas Create Grand Bharat Mata Mosaic

Marking the 150th glorious year of the Indian patriotic song “Vande Mataram,” Dombivlikar – Ek Sanskrutik Parivar, Dombivli, Maharashtra, organized a remarkable World Record programme celebrating patriotism, art, and cultural unity. The historic initiative was conducted under the leadership of Mr. Ravindra Chavan, Editor, and drew widespread public admiration.

As part of the celebration, a magnificent mosaic artwork of Bharat Mata, measuring an impressive 95 feet in height and 75 feet in width, was created using more than 2.5 lakh colourful lamps (diyas). The grand installation illuminated the spirit of nationalism and artistic excellence, becoming a visual landmark for the city.

The masterpiece was meticulously designed and executed within a span of nine days by renowned artists Chetan Raut, Vaibhav Kapse, Prabhu Kapse, along with dedicated Dombivlikar Artists. The artwork was displayed for public viewing during the Dombivli Gymkhana Festival at Dombivli Gymkhana Ground from 20th December 2025 to 28th December 2025, attracting thousands of visitors.

Mr. Paavan Solanki – CEO of World Records India himself Adjudicated the Record and this extraordinary artistic endeavor successfully achieved a New World Record, officially recognized by World Records India, making it one of the largest diya-based mosaic artworks ever created. The initiative not only honored the legacy of Vande Mataram but also showcased India’s deep-rooted patriotic spirit, community participation, and creative brilliance.

The event concluded with widespread appreciation from citizens, artists, and cultural enthusiasts, leaving behind a lasting symbol of national pride and collective dedication.
