Record-Breaking Largest Handwritten Storybook

Smt. Darsha Rajesh Kikani a respected educationalist and writer from Ahmedabad, successfully organized the Gujarati Story Writing Competition titled “VARTA MELO,” inviting students and teachers to participate. The competition received an overwhelming response with over 2000 stories submitted.

These stories were compiled into the largest handwritten storybook, comprising an astounding 12,590 pages and weighing 25.2 kilograms. The self-published book was compiled by Darsha Rajesh Kikani herself and set a New World Record on 28th February 2021.

The record-breaking event took place at the H.T. Parekh Auditorium, Ahmedabad Management Association, ATIRA Campus, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Marg, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The ambitious project was supported by the Human and Natural Resources Development Foundation and M/s. Purity Flexpack Limited.

This remarkable achievement highlights the power of literature and community involvement in promoting Gujarati language and culture.
