Sri Bala Nageshwara Rao, a master goldsmith from Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh, has created the world’s smallest idol of the Taj Mahal using pure gold. Measuring just 3.66 millimeters in both height and length, the 18.5-carat gold idol weighs 70 grams.
This intricate masterpiece showcases not only Rao’s exceptional skill and patience but also his dedication to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage in miniature art. The idol was officially exhibited on January 14, 2011, at Parthsarthi Nagar, Mandapeta, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.
Rao’s creation stands as a tribute to one of the world’s most iconic monuments and highlights the talent and artistry found in the heart of Andhra Pradesh.
