Jeezy Makes History with Record-Breaking Hip-Hop Orchestra Performance

Hip-hop icon Jeezy has officially made history, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra for a hip-hop concert.

The record was achieved on Saturday, November 1st, during the second show of his “TM:101 Live” residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Orchestra Size: 101 members.

Orchestra Name: The Color of Noize Orchestra, composed by Derrick Hodge and musically directed by Adam Blackstone.

Event: Jeezy’s “TM:101 Live” residency, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of his landmark debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101.

Guinness World Records adjudicator, Andy Glass, presented the official certificate to the rapper, born Jay Jenkins, on stage.

Jeezy shared his excitement about the monumental achievement, stating, “This isn’t just a win for me — it’s a moment for the culture, for music, and for Vegas.” He also took to social media, writing, “It is always been my purpose to motivate and inspire my culture. Thank you to everyone involved for believing in my vision. This one’s for the books literally”

The 101-member performance also marks the largest orchestra to ever perform on a Las Vegas stage for any genre, further cementing the historic nature of the event.
