3,200 Students Set World Record with Mass Plank Performance in Dharwad

In a spectacular display of unity and fitness, JSS Shri Manjunatheshwara Central School created history by setting a New World Record for the maximum number of students performing plank at a single venue.

The record-breaking event was organized on, as part of the 77th birthday celebration of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, a renowned philanthropist and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha). The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Khelo Sports Organization, Dharwad.

Under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Ajith Prasad (Secretary, JSS), Smt. Sadhana S. (Principal, SMC), and Vishal Singh (Director, Khelo Sports), a total of 3,200 students gathered at the JSS Shri Manjunatheshwara Central School Ground, Vidyagiri.

All participating students performed a plank for one minute simultaneously, demonstrating discipline, coordination, and physical fitness. Their synchronized effort successfully established a new world record.

The event not only celebrated a significant occasion but also promoted the importance of health, fitness, and collective participation among young students. Organizers and dignitaries praised the students’ enthusiasm and dedication, calling the achievement a proud moment for the institution and the region.
