Piotr Krzyżowski Sets Guinness World Record After Climbing Lhotse and Everest in Under 48 Hours

Polish mountaineer Piotr Krzyżowski has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new record after successfully climbing both Mount Everest and Lhotse in less than 48 hours.

Starting from the base camps in Kathmandu, Nepal, Krzyżowski completed the challenging double ascent without the use of supplemental oxygen. The incredible accomplishment required immense endurance, technical climbing skills, and careful planning due to the extreme conditions at high altitude.

Mount Everest, standing at 8,848.86 meters, is the highest peak in the world, while Lhotse, located just south of Everest, is the fourth-highest mountain globally. Climbing both peaks is considered one of the toughest challenges in mountaineering.

Officials from Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement, recognizing Krzyżowski’s climb as a new record for completing both summits within a 48-hour period.

After completing the historic expedition, Krzyżowski described the experience as both physically and mentally demanding. He credited his training, preparation, and support team for helping him achieve the milestone.
