Malaysian Man With 42 Teeth Sets World Record for Most Teeth in Mouth

A man from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has gained international attention after setting a world record for having the most teeth in a human mouth.

The unusual case was recognized by Guinness World Records, confirming that the Malaysian man has a total of 42 teeth, significantly more than the typical adult count of 32. The rare condition is known as Hyperdontia, a dental anomaly where extra teeth develop in the mouth.

Dentists say hyperdontia can occur when additional teeth grow beyond the normal number. While the condition is uncommon, it can sometimes lead to overcrowding, bite problems, or difficulties with oral hygiene if not properly managed.

According to reports, dental specialists examined and documented the extra teeth before the record was officially verified. Despite the unusual dental structure, the man reportedly maintains good oral health through regular dental care and monitoring.
