World’s Largest Human image of a Football Shirt

The city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez has secured a place in the record books after thousands of participants came together to form the world’s largest human image of a football shirt.

A total of 4,757 people gathered at Victor Manuel Reyna Stadium, coordinating their positions on the pitch to create a giant tricolour jersey visible from above. The spectacular display officially earned recognition from Guinness World Records.

Officials confirmed that the achievement surpassed the previous record set in Colombia in 2018. Participants, dressed in differently coloured shirts representing the national colours, worked together to carefully align themselves into the precise formation required for the attempt.

Guinness World Records adjudicators were present to verify the participant count and ensure all guidelines were met before officially declaring the new record. When confirmation came, cheers erupted throughout the stadium as organisers and volunteers celebrated the historic moment.

The event was organised as part of growing excitement ahead of the upcoming World Cup, symbolising national unity and passion for football. Aerial footage of the formation quickly spread online, capturing the scale and precision of the massive human display.

Local officials praised the coordination and community spirit shown by the thousands who took part, describing the achievement as a proud moment for the city and the country.
