World’s Largest Shoe House Stomps Into Record Books as Quirky Architectural Wonder

The world’s largest shoe-shaped house has captured global attention towering 17.76 metres (58 ft) high and stretching 25.16 metres (82 ft 6 in) long earning its place in the Guinness World Records as the largest house shaped like a shoe.

Situated in Chiayi, Taiwan, this remarkable structure was officially recognised on 5 February 2016 and continues to fascinate visitors from around the world. Constructed by the South West Coast National Scenic Area Administration in collaboration with Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau and Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the huge shoe house serves as a church and community gathering spot, accommodating up to 100 people inside its distinctive sole-inspired walls.
