World’s Largest Pallet Painting

A colossal work of art has earned the title of the world’s largest pallet painting, captivating both art fans and record seekers alike. The massive artwork a 26,235-square-foot portrait of Lady Liberty was created during The Patriotic Pallet Project in Greenville, making it a standout global art and community achievement.

The record-setting painting was assembled on October 10 by Carolina Handling in partnership with pallet provider 48forty Solutions, using 2,500 wooden pallets painted in 16 vivid colors. Laid out in a precise grid pattern, the pallets together form a stunning and highly detailed depiction of the iconic Statue of Liberty.

The painting, which spans roughly half the size of a football field, was created as part of an effort to honor U.S. military veterans and raise awareness for careers in the material-handling industry. Five Carolina Handling associates representing all five branches of the U.S. armed forces helped assemble the pallet mosaic, using lift trucks to position the artwork.

Assembly of the world’s largest pallet painting took just about four hours, with organizers capturing the process on video for release on Veterans Day. The artistic feat not only set a world record but also highlighted how industrial materials like wooden shipping pallets can be transformed into eye-catching large-scale art.
