KURNOOL, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA – August 12, 2025 – In a magnificent display of national pride and unity, Kurnool has set a new Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Tricolour Indian Flag. Organized by the I AUMAUJAYA United Young Stars Association (I AUYSA), led by its founder Maestro Shreemaashree Paramo, the event was a patriotic celebration marking India’s 79th Independence Day.
The colossal Indian National Flag measured an astounding 3600 feet in length and 6 feet in width, covering a total area of 21,600 square feet. This monumental symbol of nationalism and patriotism was hoisted and carried simultaneously by over 2,500 enthusiastic students during a spirited 4-kilometer walk and was officially registered by World Records India and certificate honored by Paavan Solanki – Chief Editor of World Records India at St. Joseph Collage, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh
The “I AUYSA Youth Brigade” program, held today, aimed to foster a deep sense of national pride and patriotism among citizens, particularly the youth. The sight of thousands of students collectively unfurling and carrying the immense flag created a powerful and emotional spectacle, drawing cheers and applause from onlookers.
This record-breaking achievement not only highlights the spirit of unity and dedication among the participants but also adds a significant chapter to India’s Independence Day celebrations.
