Akshay Kumar Sets Guinness World Record for Most Selfies Taken in Three Minutes

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has added yet another accolade to his name—this time off-screen. The ‘Khiladi’ actor has set a new Guinness World Record for the most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes, capturing 184 selfies during a fan meet-and-greet in Mumbai.

The record-breaking feat was part of the promotional campaign for his upcoming film ‘Selfiee’. Surrounded by an enthusiastic crowd of fans, Kumar smiled, posed, and clicked at lightning speed, beating the previous record of 168 selfies set by James Smith (USA) in 2018 aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship. Prior to that, the title was held by Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who clicked 105 selfies at the San Andreas premiere in London in 2015.

Speaking about the achievement, Akshay said, “I am ecstatic at breaking this unique World Record and sharing this moment with my fans! Everything I have achieved is because of their unconditional love and support.”

He added, “This was my way of paying a special tribute to them, acknowledging how they have stood by me and my work throughout my entire career.”

The event highlighted Kumar’s immense popularity and his personal touch with fans, making for a perfect prelude to the release of Selfiee.
