Manchester City Sets Financial Records Following Historic Treble Season

Following their sensational treble-winning season on the pitch, Manchester City Football Club has now scored major success off it, announcing record profits and revenues in their latest financial report.

According to Manchester City FC Ltd.’s annual report, the club earned a record revenue of £712.8 million ($889.4 million) for the financial year ending June 2023, marking a 16.3% increase (£99.8 million) from the previous year. The club also reported a record net profit of £80.4 million, showcasing the financial strength behind their sporting achievements.

The success comes on the heels of Manchester City’s historic treble, which saw them win the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League — a feat only achieved once before by an English club.

Owned by City Football Group, whose majority shareholder is Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, the club was also named the most valuable football brand in the world, further solidifying its dominance on and off the field.

Manchester City’s CEO, Ferran Soriano, described the year as “a perfect alignment of sporting and commercial excellence,” crediting a strong global fanbase, strategic sponsorships, and innovative media growth for the record-breaking performance.

With both sporting glory and financial prowess on their side, Manchester City has set a new benchmark in the world of modern football.
