Yashavanth M G Sets World Record with 24-Hour Non-Stop Singing of 270 SPB Songs

In a remarkable musical feat, Yashavanth M G, a Hindustani vocalist and music director from Mangaluru, Karnataka, has entered the World Records by singing 270 songs of legendary playback singer Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam non-stop for 24 hours. The event, titled Baalagaana Yashoyana, commenced at 3 PM on June 3 and concluded at 3 PM on June 4 at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall in Mangaluru.

This solo singing marathon was organized to commemorate Dr. Balasubrahmanyam’s birth anniversary, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the iconic singer’s enduring legacy. The performance featured a diverse selection of songs, including 90% film songs and the remainder comprising bhavageete and devotional numbers.

Golden Book of World Records, personally presented the certificate to Yashavanth in the presence of dignitaries after witnessing the event. He lauded Yashavanth’s dedication, stating, “No one has ever celebrated SPB’s birthday like this. Singing non-stop for 24 hours is no ordinary task. I have witnessed many world records, but never one as melodious as this.”

The event was graced by several notable attendees, including Udupi district BJP president Kishore Kumar, Mangaluru ACP Geetha Kulkarni, Daijiworld Media founder Walter Nandalike, and Yashavanth’s mother, Hemavathi.

This achievement not only honors the memory of Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam but also showcases Yashavanth M G’s exceptional dedication to music and his commitment to preserving and celebrating India’s rich musical heritage.
