In a remarkable display of literary enthusiasm, Mr. Divyesh Sagathiya and Mr. Kishan Sitapara, teachers at Kafka’s English Corner in Rajkot, Gujarat, organized the longest relay poetry marathon, celebrating multilingual poetry and cultural unity.
The marathon, which featured 135 participants, included recitations of 1744 poems in a variety of languages—English, Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi, and Urdu. The event commenced at 2:00 am on June 13, 2015, and concluded at 10:20 am on June 14, 2015, at Balbhavn, Rajkot, Gujarat.
This inspiring feat showcased the richness of India’s literary diversity and promoted the spirit of creative expression across communities.
