American record-breaker David Rush has reclaimed his Guinness World Record for the longest time balancing a chair on the chin, achieving an impressive duration of 1 hour, 20 minutes, and 30 seconds. This feat took place on November 20, 2024, at the West Boise YMCA in Boise, Idaho.
Rush utilized a brown, adult-sized Adams low-back patio chair weighing approximately 4 lb 3.5 oz and measuring about 31.5 inches in height. Balancing the chair upside down on his chin, he maintained a steady posture with his back straight and face tilted upward, carefully adjusting whenever the chair tilted.
This accomplishment surpasses the previous record of 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 17 seconds set by Christian Roberto López Rodríguez from Spain in 2021 . Rush, known for holding over 180 Guinness World Records, continues to push the boundaries of human endurance and balance.
In addition to this achievement, Rush broke 15 Guinness World Records in a single day, showcasing his versatility and dedication to record-breaking endeavors .
