In a heartfelt tribute to the 72nd birthday of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2022, Shri Kantilal Amrutiya, affectionately known as “Kanabhai”, a five-term MLA from the 65 Morbi-Maliya Constituency and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Gujarat, led a record-breaking initiative rooted in culture, service, and compassion.
As part of a unique social welfare program, Kanabhai and his team prepared and distributed an astonishing 75,000 kilograms of Sukhdi — a traditional and nutritious Gujarati sweet — to over 100 Gaushalas (cowsheds) across the Saurashtra region within a span of one month. This massive act of service culminated in setting a New World Record on October 19, 2022, in Morbi, Gujarat.
This noble effort not only honored the ideals of seva (selfless service) but also reinforced the Indian values of protecting and nurturing gau mata (sacred cows), which hold a revered place in Indian culture.
Recognizing this remarkable accomplishment, the Genius Foundation & World Records of India proudly awarded Shri Kantilal Amrutiya a certificate of appreciation for his outstanding, dedicated, and selfless contribution to society and the nation.
A spokesperson from World Records of India stated, “This initiative blends tradition with social service and showcases the spirit of Bharat. Kanabhai’s devotion and dedication continue to inspire generations.”
