“Solar Man of India Sets Record with 400 Solar Street Lights Across 25 Villages in 20 Days”

In a remarkable stride towards sustainability and rural empowerment, Dr. Sachin Yashwant Shigwan, widely known as the “Solar Man of India” and founder of Green India Initiative Pvt. Ltd., has set a new world record for executing a high-impact renewable energy project in record time.

Under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Dr. Shigwan spearheaded the installation of 400 solar-powered street lights across 25 villages in the Chiplun and Khed regions of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. Each unit was equipped with a 15-watt LED light, 50W solar panel, and 12V 18Ah inbuilt battery, ensuring enhanced safety, improved security, and consistent lighting in rural communities previously dependent on conventional power sources.

The entire project benefited more than 22,000 rural residents and was completed in just 20 days, earning a World Record recognition by World Records India. The achievement not only highlights a milestone in renewable energy deployment but also underscores Dr. Shigwan’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and transforming lives through clean energy solutions.

This initiative is a model for future rural electrification efforts and stands as a testament to how visionary leadership and green technology can empower even the most remote communities.
