On February 4, 2016, marking World Cancer Day, Dr. Bhumika Kamal Badiyani M.D.S., Dr. Amit Kumar M.D.S., Dr. Nitesh Kamal M.D.S., and a team of 40 dentists from Sarjug Dental College and Mata R. Devi Dental Hospital successfully conducted the “Largest Oral Cancer Screening” at a single venue in Darbhanga, Bihar. A total of 1,291 patients were screened for oral cancer in one day, setting a new record. Alongside screening, patients received vital oral health education focusing on the harmful effects of tobacco and other risk factors linked to oral cancer. The initiative was supported by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), highlighting the importance of early detection and prevention in combating oral cancer.
