“World Record: Most People Dancing Together While Playing Dafali (Hand Drums)”

In a spectacular celebration of traditional Indian dance and music, Margam Dance Academy, a premier dance institute based in Gandhidham, Kutch, successfully organized a record-breaking event on 20th October 2019. Under the expert mentorship of Dance Master Mrs. Dhara Mayur Shah, 248 dancers performed a traditional group dance while carrying 1500 Dafalis (traditional Indian hand drums) in their hands non-stop for 30 minutes.

This extraordinary performance took place at the Aadarsh Mahavidhyalaya Ground, near Sindhi Dharmshala in Gandhidham, and has been officially recognized as a New World Record.

The event aimed to promote and preserve India’s rich cultural heritage of dance and music, showcasing the talent and dedication of the dancers and their commitment to keeping traditional art forms alive across the world.
