Rajkot, Gujarat — Kavya Kakaniya, born on December 1, 2012, and a student of Standard 1 at Shri Shri Academy Day School, has made waves by becoming the youngest gold medalist in the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2019-2020. On January 15, 2020, Kavya achieved a perfect score of 40 out of 40 marks, securing the first rank among more than 600 participants from across India.

Daughter of Mrs. Prafula Kakaniya and Mr. Rohit Kakaniya, Kavya’s outstanding performance highlights her exceptional mathematical talent and dedication at such a young age. The Olympiad, conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) India, is a prestigious competition that tests problem-solving skills and mathematical aptitude.
