Mrs. Supriya Shinde, born on May 3, 1982, a master artist and founder of Ship Siddhi Sculpture Pvt. Ltd., has made history by becoming the first woman sculptor in the world to craft the largest equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 2022. The magnificent statue, made of wax, casting, and sand materials, measures 10 feet in height and 7 feet in width, weighing approximately 1500 kilograms.
Mrs. Shinde completed this extraordinary feat in just 75 days and 14 hours at Ambegaon, Khurd, Pune, Maharashtra, setting a new world record on June 24, 2022. Over her career spanning from 2009 to 2022, she has created more than 35 sculptures on diverse subjects and earned numerous state and national level awards for her exceptional artistry.
This accomplishment not only highlights her unmatched skill and dedication but also marks a milestone in the world of sculpture, inspiring many aspiring women artists across India and beyond.
