In a powerful initiative to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote oxygen-rich greenery, Shri Vinod L. Chavda, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Kutch, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led a historic green campaign that culminated in setting a new world record.
On 24th August 2022, Shri Chavda and his team organized the creation of the largest BJP (Kamal) logo made entirely from 2,782 Tulsi (Holy Basil) saplings, symbolizing life, purity, and ecological balance. The living artwork measured 25 feet in height and 30 feet in width, and was displayed at a public venue in Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat.
The unique eco-friendly initiative was not only a tribute to the environment but also an innovative way to blend political symbolism with green action. The Tulsi plant, known for its medicinal properties and ability to purify the air, was specifically chosen to emphasize the importance of increasing oxygen levels on Earth.
The record-setting feat was officially adjudicated by Mr. Milan Soni, President of Kutch District, and Mrs. Devyani Soni, Senior Adjudicator of Bhuj-Kutch, who recognized the attempt as a world record.
Speaking at the event, Shri Vinod L. Chavda said, “This initiative is a step toward a cleaner and greener planet. Through symbolic acts like these, we aim to inspire citizens across India to contribute towards environmental preservation and sustainability.”
The event witnessed participation from local volunteers, environmentalists, students, and party workers, all united in their commitment to a healthier and greener future.
This record not only showcases dedication to the environmental cause but also sets an inspiring example for communities nationwide to engage in creative and impactful ecological actions.
