1,000+ Artists Unite Across Gujarat in Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Setting a World Record on Martyrs’ Day

In a heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on the solemn occasion of Martyrs’ Day 2023, HRIM Dhwani Sangeet Vidhyalay, Patan, and Rangsagar Performing Arts, Ahmedabad came together to organize a remarkable world record event celebrating the life and legacy of Gandhiji through the arts.

Under the visionary mentorship of Dr. Samyak Parekh and Shri Naresh Patel, more than 1,000 participants from across Gujarat—both on-ground and online—gathered at NGES College Ground, Patan, to showcase their talents in classical dance, music, singing, painting, yoga, and even dressed up in creative interpretations of Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and non-violence.

Set to a specially selected theme song dedicated to Gandhiji, this collective artistic tribute not only inspired a wave of patriotism and reflection but also set a new world record for the largest multi-disciplinary cultural performance held simultaneously on Martyrs’ Day.

The event was a powerful demonstration of how Gandhiji’s ideals continue to inspire generations, brought to life through the cultural richness and artistic spirit of Gujarat.
