Yuvraj Singh long held the record for scoring most T20I runs in an over. The stylish left-handed India batter smashed 6 sixes in an over against England in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup to accumulate 36 runs in an over. He may have been joined by batters for that record but Yuvraj was always there on that list since 2007.
However, it is now a past record as Samoa batter has shattered Yuvraj’s long-standing feat in a T20 World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Darius Visser etched history by smashing 39 runs in an over. The previous record was held by Yuvraj along with Kieron Pollard and Dipendra Singh Airee. Darius Visser achieved the feat while playing against Vanuatu at the Garden Oval No.2 in Apia.
