Most Varieties of Omelettes Cooked in 10 Minutes

Culinary students from the Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management (AIIHM) have made headlines by setting a new world record for cooking the most varieties of omelettes in a short time, showcasing remarkable speed, teamwork and creativity in the kitchen. More than 500 students participated in the feat, which took place at the institute’s practical kitchen lab in Chengalpattu district.

Under the supervision of professional chefs and trainers, the team prepared an astounding 1,200 different varieties of omelettes in just 8 minutes and 24 seconds — well ahead of the original target of preparing 1,000 omelettes in 10 minutes. The achievement has been officially recognised by Einstein World Records, a global record-certifying organisation, and a certificate was presented to the institute’s leadership.

The event highlighted not just speed but also the breadth of culinary innovation, with students experimenting with a wide array of ingredients, flavours and presentation techniques. The record-breaking attempt drew praise from local officials, culinary experts and food enthusiasts alike, celebrating India’s emerging talent in the world of gastronomy.

This exceptional performance underscores the growing expertise and ambition of India’s next generation of chefs, and adds a flavorful chapter to the country’s expanding list of culinary accomplishments on the global stage.
