Malaysian bead artist Ab Majid Ab Rahman has set a new record for the longest beaded art in the world, crafting an intricate artwork that stretches 17.78 metres (58.31 ft) in length.
The vibrant piece, created by tying together thousands of coloured beads on strings, showcases a variety of patterns and motifs made with meticulous attention to detail. The monumental artwork was officially measured and authenticated at the PMC Gallery in Cherating, Pahang, and has since drawn widespread admiration from art lovers and craft communities alike.
Ab Majid, known locally as “The King of Malaysian Beaded Art,” spent countless hours designing and assembling the extended beaded creation, turning a traditional craft into a record-breaking spectacle.
