In an astounding demonstration of coordination and sheer scale, more than 10,267 participants came together on 12 August 2010 to form the longest human domino line ever recorded. The spectacular human chain was created at the Ordos International Nadam Fair in Ordos City, located in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Participants mostly students and local citizens sat in a continuous sequence stretching roughly 7.2 kilometres, each one positioned carefully like a human domino. Once the fall began, the line toppled in a slow, mesmerizing cascade that took 69 minutes and 43 seconds to complete from start to finish.
The massive feat was not just a visual marvel but also a testament to teamwork and meticulous planning, as organizers coordinated thousands of people to join and fall in sync. This incredible achievement has been certified by Guinness World Records and remains one of the most memorable human participation records in the books. The event captured global attention at the time and continues to inspire new record attempts and community-driven world-record challenges around the world.
