Vietnam has officially etched its name in the Guinness World Records with a stunning achievement in the world of pickleball. On 4 October 2025, the PPA Tour Asia – MB Vietnam Cup 2025 drew an unprecedented 7,906 spectators live at the Tien Son Sports Arena in Da Nang, setting the world record for the largest attendance at a pickleball event.
The record-breaking turnout surpassed the previous mark of 5,522 spectators, which was set in the United States, underscoring pickleball’s explosive global appeal and its rapid rise as a spectator sport. Organized by America & Asia Connect Company, the Da Nang Pickleball Federation, and FPT Play, the multi-day international tournament brought together nearly 600 professional and amateur athletes from Vietnam and around the world. The event not only showcased high-level competition but also energized passionate crowds throughout the week of play.
Guinness World Records officially recognized the achievement during the tournament’s closing ceremony, marking a major milestone for both pickleball and Vietnam’s presence on the international sports stage.
