World’s Largest Marble Buddha Statue Unveiled in Bodh Gaya

In a moment of global spiritual significance, India has unveiled the world’s largest marble Buddha statue, symbolizing peace, compassion, and enlightenment. The majestic structure, standing at an awe-inspiring 82 feet tall and carved entirely from pristine white Makrana marble, has been inaugurated at Bodh Gaya, the sacred land where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

The statue, a masterpiece of Indian craftsmanship, was designed by a team of artisans from Rajasthan and sculptors from Thailand. Weighing over 1,200 tons, it depicts Lord Buddha in a serene meditation posture, radiating calm and spiritual strength.

According to the Bodh Gaya Development Authority, the construction took eight years to complete and was funded through a collaboration between Indian and international Buddhist organizations. The base of the statue features intricate carvings illustrating key moments from Buddha’s life, while the surrounding gardens have been developed as a “Peace Park” open to all faiths.

During the inauguration ceremony, attended by monks from 15 countries, Prime Minister [Name] emphasized, “This statue is not just a monument, but a global message of peace, compassion, and harmony — values that the world needs today more than ever.”

Tourism officials predict the site will attract millions of visitors annually, boosting spiritual tourism and cultural pride in India.
