Man Uses Cone to Catch Ice Cream Scoop from 55 Feet, 5 Inches Away

An Idaho man known for his extraordinary Guinness World Records has added another quirky title to his name — catching an ice cream scoop in a cone from 55 feet, 5 inches away.

David Rush, who has earned more than 300 Guinness World Records, accomplished the feat with the help of Josh VanBattenburg, a member of YouTuber Josh Horton’s team. The duo took on the challenge in Simi Valley, California, aiming to set the record for the farthest ice cream throw and catch (team of two).

During the attempt, VanBattenburg used a scoop to launch a serving of ice cream across the long distance, while Rush successfully caught it on his cone — with the ice cream remaining perfectly inside.

“The catch was measured from the front of Josh’s front foot to the front of mine when the ice cream landed in the cone and stayed there,” Rush said after the record was confirmed.

Rush, a well-known serial record-breaker, has previously achieved hundreds of unconventional feats — from juggling and balancing acts to speed-based challenges — all part of his mission to inspire people to pursue their goals through focus, persistence, and creativity.
