Iranian Stamp Museum Enters Guinness World Records for Largest Stamp Collection Display

In a remarkable celebration of history and philately, the Iranian Stamp Museum has officially entered the Guinness World Records for hosting the largest stamp collection ever displayed in a single exhibition.

The record-setting showcase features over 1.2 million individual stamps, representing more than 150 countries and spanning over two centuries of postal history. The exhibit includes rare Persian issues dating back to the Qajar Dynasty, as well as limited-edition global releases, commemorative Olympic stamps, and royal-era postal artifacts.

The achievement was confirmed during a special ceremony in Tehran, attended by government officials, cultural historians, and representatives from Guinness World Records.

Museum director Dr. Leila Rahmani expressed her pride, stating, “This recognition is not just for Iran, but for all who value cultural preservation. Stamps tell stories — of people, nations, and shared history — and we are honored to keep those stories alive.”

The exhibition, titled “Messages Through Time,” took nearly five years to organize, with contributions from private collectors and national archives. It aims to inspire new generations to appreciate the art and heritage of postage stamps in the digital era.

Following the announcement, the Iranian Stamp Museum saw a record surge in visitors, with philatelists and tourists flocking to witness the world’s largest stamp display firsthand.
